Great expectations! Somewhat dissapointed that the staff, although VERY friendly, were not comensurate with the outstanding location & the (somewhat) elevated prices. No complaints about the quality of the food. Ordered an appetizer prior to lunch and the waitress then came by said "do you want more "stuff" Well, we did, but were taken aback by the obvious lack of training. No refiills of our water and had to carry our payment up to the cashier despite only two other tables occupied.

On my first visit, I sat at the bar and asked for their house red wine. I was showed two wines and ordered four glasses for myself and friends and ordered three appetizers to the tune of almost $100! This is not traditional Greek food. I was truly disappointed at the cheese appetizer that tasted like cardboard. I don't mind paying for a good bottle of wine. $12 a glass a wine for their house was, well, OUTRAGEOUS!!! Also, ran into a friend dining there on the same Friday evening. Saw him on Sunday and told me the wine was priced to high and disappointed with the food.

I was really looking forward to the opening of Petros. Santa Barbara could use a new, reliable restaurant. Looking at the menu, I was surprised to see Moussaka for $24 and meatballs for $28. This makes the restaurant a special occasion experience for items that are inexpensive to produce. A mistake. Was planning to go with friends on Saturday but just changed my mind. I hope they will change theirs if they want to survive. We will go elsewhere before heading to a movie. Santa Barbara has quite a few good , expensive restaurants. What we need is a mid priced very good restaurant.


Garlic overload

Some friends and I went for lunch and first they bring out the drips, one was extreme garlic and the other was sun dried tomato which was really good! Everything we ordered was extremely garlic, but I love garlic so that's okay! But for those that dont, it might be a too much. I ordered the lamb sandwich which came on this delicious olive bread with goat cheese, carmelized onions, arugula and dijon mustard, maybe too many flavors going on but very tasty, it also came with a giant arugula salad, that was simple but delicous! My friends ordered the gyro and said they were "ok". Good place if you are looking for something different in the Valley.


Really Good Stuff, Greek in an Elegant Setting

Really Good stuff. They have good soups, salads, dips etc. They have a banquet room for large groups. The service was exceptional and our waitress was a pro(hostess was very nice also). If into Greek food and want to dine in a bit more elegance than any of the other Greek places in town I would try this place. In the Fess Parker Inn.


Excellent Lunch in Los Olivos

We stumbled across Petros while on a lunch stop in Los Olivos. To be honest, it was very hot today and air conditioning was a priority. The menu looked inviting so we gave it a shot and were well rewarded. The atmosphere is comfortable and the service attentive without being overbearing. The food was very tasty, well presented and fairly priced. We'll be back!

We decided to try Petros on a whim while up in Los Olivos, I love Greek food and was really excited to go here. First let me say the food is amazing, the prices are great and they even have a $3.00 beer of the week special which is really nice. We loved everything that we tried and my normally picky fiancée even loved the Greek dips with pita and the pizza that we had. The service though was ehhh... when we first walked in the bartender kind of raised his eyebrows and in a snobby tone looked at me and said “can I help you?” as if I were lost. Maybe it was the fact that I was just in my tank and jeans that day since we were on a last minute weekend trip up the 154. The only person who seemed to know what she was doing was the girl that brought us our drinks, and our actual waitress seemed a little confused. I will definitely go back for the food but I hope their service team gets it together before I do.

A fantastic addition to the dining scene! The food here was refined. Every item we ate was freshly prepared in the kitchen. The produce was very high quality - rich, flavorful avocado, perfectly ripened tomatoes, and sweet, firm watermelon. The dips were delicious, especially the eggplant dip and fava bean dip. There is a wide variety of menu choices. Furthermore, the service was pleasant and attentive. Everyone in my party is looking forward to returning.

Our first time visit was simply outstanding. Food was extremely flavorful. Every course, salad, appetizer, entree and dessert was a fresh, bold taste. This is by far one of the better Greek restaurants we have been to and I look forward to a return visit soon. Nice remodel of the space but sound seems to carry and it can be a little loud. The patio is a pleasant alternative.
