Very Good, Overly expensive
Reviewer: Nicolas from Santa Barbara, CA
This place is pleasant and the people who work here are all very nice. Me and my GF chose 2 different sandwiches and they were very good but come on, this is overly expensive for what it is... a good piece of cheese on a random white sandwich bread (not even a ciabatta or something, you have to pay a supplement for that). For the price (10$) I was expecting a normal size sandwich with at least a little side but it was just a flat like-a-pancake sandwich (with just cheese in it) on a paper plate... Go there to buy some good (super expensive) cheese but you better make your sandwich at home... Basically a place for rich people and for hipsters.

Perfect lunch spot

I love the sandwiches, soup and salads here, and think it is one of the best kept secrets in town for a delicious, affordable lunch. Half sandwiches are huge and at around $4 you can't beat them, but for something really amazing, pair a grilled cheese with tomato soup. Dining in here is cosy at best (think a couple of seats in the window) but take-out is always quick and efficient, and there are plenty of great places nearby to picnic.

This place rocks!

Great selection and service. Ideal for cheese recommendations and gourmet foods. They also do a great a great lunch service. Their sandwiches and salads are outstanding. Ashley usually helps us, she is the best!

I just complained about another restaurant so I have to balance it out to show that I have taste and that I am judicious. This place is amazing. Note that there are 5 stars across the board. I am happy to give them my money -- every week a new cheese. Also love the prepared food and the service at every level.

Perfect

Sandwich almost as great as the cheese. A true Santa Barbara gem

Ah, cheese!
Reviewer: Elena from Santa Barbara, CA
The grilled cheese sandwich really hit the spot. SO yummy and of course a huge step from what I grew up with - Velveeta! The arugula salad was remarkable. I didn't think I could eat that particular green due to its bitterness but the salad was so fresh with feta and couscous. The dressing was perfect with the salad. I originally went in to find the "Wallace and Gromit"cheese for a friend who studied in England and they had it (BTW it's wensleydale). I can't wait to go to the cheese and honey tasting on 5/24!

Excellent!!

I love this place! The manager knows that I love the St Marcellin, but only when it is firm. She sent me an email on Friday that they had some firm ones in, when I called at 5:40 worried that I wouldn't make it by 6, she said not to worry they would stay open for me. Also got the Robiola which I highly recommend if you like cow cheese.

C'est Cheese has a great selection of European and American cheeses. One of my favorite things is to go in undecided on what I want...they will let you try all the cheese you need to make a decision. I especially like the manager, Chantalle because she is helpful and not overbearing. (Tip: when you are done buying your cheese you can go two doors down to Our Daily Bread and get some of the best ciabatta to eat with your cheese.)

Closest I have found to a European shop

I love the cheese shops in Europe. C'est Cheese is the closest we have found. Cheese, cheese and more cheese. Too many to count.

Absolutely wonderful!

My friends and I have been shopping here a number of times and are never disappointed. The staff is always knowledgeable and offers great reccomendations. They are also great at wine and cheese pairings. If you like cheese, you MUST shop here!

Couldn't be better!

I've been shopping at this place since day one (2003) and wouldn't think about going anywhere else for those kind of products. The owners and staff are knowledgeable, friendly and make you feel like you're catching up with a good friend on recommendations. They're constantly bringing in new products and sharing new ideas. Great location, especially for strolling to after the Saturday morning farmer's market. I would recommend anyone to go to C'est Cheese, you won't be disappointed!
