Don't Order Catering, 7/16/2009
Reviewer: Emily

I have always liked the food at Panino, so when I had to plan a large lunch for my company and saw that Panino offered catering, I thought it would be a great chance to support a compny I liked. They ended up delivering the lunch almost 1 hour late and I almost lost my job. I would never recommend using them for catering.

A very good sandwich , 5/9/2009

All the Panio locations have excellent food and speedy service. The Goleta location has the most friendly service of all their locations.
For the same price as a burger and fries you can have an outstandingly delicious sandwich or salad.

How lame can you be?, 4/25/2009

I have probably been told five out of the past ten times I've gone into Panino's that they are out of the type of bread I have ordered. I really wish they would walk across the street to the grocery store and purchase a few loaves of bread when they are running low. How hard is that? Needless to say, each time this has happened, I have taken my business elsewhere.

Just ok, 4/24/2009

This place is just ok, nothing really stands out as delicious. For a good sandwich try country meat market next to zodo's. That's a real sandwich.

Lousy sandwich, 4/23/2009

Ordered the hot pastrami on sourdough with sauerkraut - this sandwich was NOT what I expected. A sandwich comprised of mostly bread with a little bit of pastrami and melted cheese with a thin layer of sauerkraut. A $9 sandwich should be overflowing with pastrami and sauerkraut so you merely do not taste the bread in every bite. Consumers want their moneys worth and it should taste good too, which brings you back.

Stingy with the ingredients, 2/13/2009

The economy seems to have hit this sandwich business. For $8 plus per sandwich, they should be able to afford to slice the tomatoes and bell peppers a little thicker than 1/8 of an inch. I am finding that my sandwiches mostly consist of lettuce, and each time I go there, I always think it will be my last. Also, the person who makes the sandwiches always seems to be on personal cell phone calls while working, which could be the reason why sometimes main ingredients are missing from my sandwich!

This place has the best sandwiches around!!!, 2/2/2009

Ok, I cannot tell you enough good things about this place. SO good. Every sandwich I have had is SO good. LOL. One minor issue: The Goleta location is WAY understaffed. The last 5 times I have been in there they have 1 person making sandwiches and 1 person taking orders, bringing the food out. Seems a little ridiculous to me. Hire more people!!! A little pricey, but worth it!

Good food/service a bit pricey, 12/1/2008

Good sandwich. Got it quick. Limited beverage options. Not quite as good as South Coast Deli. Spacious seating indoor and out. You will probably spend 10+ with a drink purchase.

Where's the beef!

I'm a regular at this location. Panino's sandwiches are priced just slightly higher than I'd usually prefer to pay, but they add a nice touch to each one and the ingredients are usual fresh and plentiful, so I think it's worth. However, the last couple times I've been there I noticed that there are less deli meat slices on their sandwiches now. Maybe there's a new preparer who's a little stingy or maybe Panino has decided to cut costs a bit OR I'm just imagining things. Regardless, it still tastes really good!
