Brat seemed pretty authentic and you can get grilled onions on it too. Brat seemed to lose its heat though so be nice if they kept them hotter. Quick food by the library.

I graduate in June 2008 from UCSB (2004-2008) and was lucky enough to discover this place early in my college career. They are delicious, the bread is nice and soft and they have specials everyday! Not that you save tons of money on the daily special, but when you're a broke college student every quarter counts. The man who runs the stand is awesome and while he serves me with few words, he always has a smile. This place is the best on campus, better than woodstock's, gaucho cafe, wendy's, panda, subway....

i told myself that i would eat at this intriguing hot dog stand before i graduated. well, it's fall quarter of my senior year, and i took my first bite only two days ago. i'm still dreaming of the all-beef jumbo dog, saurkraut, and the rest of the fixins. in fact, i'm going tomorrow. pepito is a baller.

Centrally located in UCSB this place lends itself well for a quick lunch for people working on campus. I've tried several of the sausages and was quite happy with the taste, allthough the buns could be crispier. What makes this place noteworthy are the outstanding pretzels! I'm originally from Germany and of all the pretzels I have ever tried in the US - believe it or not - these are the ONLY ones that taste like the ones we have in Germany ... especially if you enjoy them without mustard!

When I went to UCSB, I frequently ate at Die Bretzel for lunch or a snack. It is one of the best hot dogs I've ever had. Try the bratwurst with deli mustard and any other fix-ins you desire and you won't be disappointed.
