What a mess
Reviewer: Nancy from Santa Barbara, CA
It was a warm evening and their AC wasn't working also the freezer in front was broken. They only had limited ice cream flavors "in the back." We ordered hot fudge sundaes. I received it in a half filled small cup. There was no fudge but a small dollop of microwaved chocolate sauce in the bottom of the cup, topped with mediocre vanilla ice cream, nuts, whipped cream and a cherry. The employees need to know how to make a proper hot fudge sundae and serve it properly. What a mess!

Melty Mess

Tried this location for the second time today. Nothing has improved. Th ice cream I got was soggy and half melted. I had to put it in the freezer for half an hour before I can eat it. I vow to never return.

The ice cream is the best, service is questionable
Reviewer: Joseph from Goleta, CA
Anticipating our sweet cream, berries, chocolate, and waffle cones, my family and I set out for some hard earned ice cream after a morning of hiking. We arrived Monday 11:30 AM, dreaming of a cold reward. We walk in to find the store unprepared to serve us. The Ice cream still tucked away in the back, and tables and chairs still stacked. Cold Stone opens at 11 AM during the weekdays, how long does it take to completely serve the public?

Ok food service

Service could have been better as not very chipper counter person not too keen on making smoothies. Smoothie Ok. Did not notice any dirty floors. They have big waffle cones here.

decent ice cream, dirty place
Reviewer: Carla from Goleta
The ice cream is pretty good, but every time I come in it is pretty melty and starts melting quickly after it is served. The taste is good, and so are the mix-ins. The thing I don't like is that it is always dirty in there which makes it unappealing. It looks like they never sweep or mop the ground, and as if they never wipe off the counters. Also, last time I went the kid charged me too much, and then they said they couldn't give me a refund since I used a credit card. Moreover, they are always out of things, may it be an ice cream flavor or a cup size or lid. This is very unprofessional, every time I come in they are ALWAYS out of at least one thing. The manager needs to project and realize what will be popular so s/he can order enough food/supplies. I think that instead of teaching the kids who work there those stupid songs that nobody likes, they should teach them how to clean up the store and how to be competent workers.!

I've been to this location a couple of times, and the quality of the ice cream has been somewhat inconsistent. The first time I went, the ice cream was pretty firm and non-melty, and the server gave me a generous portion of it. However, when I went this past time, the ice cream was partially melted in the display case (does melty ice cream bug anyone else?), and the portion size was smaller :( Overall, I still turn to Coldstone's for a nice refreshing treat, but I dunno if I'd spend $4 on a melty confection.
