I've been to this place many times while I worked in down town Santa Barbara in 2007.
The owner, Eric and his staff are really nice to customers and their food is great!
I will definitely go back when I visit Santa Barbara again.

The hotdog taste just like the one at 7-11 and was so overpriced. I wish there is an alternative late night hot dog place.

I love Mad Dogs. True, they're a little overpriced but they're open late and I've seen their staff put up with some pretty unruly drunk cutomers. I love watching the pay-per-vew UFC fights at O'Malley's and because they don't serve food we usually pick up chili fries and dogs and eat with a cold beer while watching the fight. Can't beat that! They're also very tasty when you're looking for a bite to eat after those late nights out, within walking distance of most clubs and always hot and delicious.

A Hankering for Hot Dogs

After watching a documentary on hot dogs, I had to go to Mad Dogs. The classic hot dog was juicy and hot. The bun was far from the average that you'd get from a supermarket. The bread was very tasty and dense with sesame seeds. And they have sauerkraut for their bratwurst which I appreciated. Last of all the young man behind the counter was very polite and helpful. I got better service at this tiny place than some of the fancy restaurants in town!

Excellent place to eat

I am from Carmel and my son wanted to have hot dogs for dinner. We stopped at Mad Dogs and I was pleasantly surprised to meet the wonderful couple who owns it. The churros are to die for!
