Great Improvement with new Manager!

I am a returning customer who is thrilled to be back. The new management has done an excellent job with the much improved customer service, food menu and specials, and the new look of the cafe. This truly feels like a new cafe from 1.5 years ago (Jack's Bagel). The food is a healthy portion and the service better. The lines can be long at times (good sign), but the staff is fast and efficient. I highly recommend this eatery!

I was in Santa Barbara for a weekend, Im normally from Orange County.I had good service at jacks bistro on milpas the cashier was so nice.I think her name was veronica she was so nice to me I went back until I left town.This good service had happen to on a saturday afternoon I also thought she was the manager I also had asked her but she had said no,but anyways I will remember jacks bistro on milpas becasue they have such good service.

i ordered three bagels, all with chive spread, tomato, lemon pepper. had the lady confirm my order as she handed me the bag. arrived back at work to find two bagel halves with minimal chive spread and tomatoes, one with plain spread and tomatoes, and three plain halves placed on top. i feel cheated and misled, and the only way i'll return to jack's famous bagels on milpas is with a copy of this review in hand.

I was in Santa Barbara a few days ago. I love the pizza bagels. They were very tasty and savory. It's better than the ones that I had at a different bagel restaurant in Orange County. I like the new manager Amie. She was very attentive. Her customer service was excellent. She started my morning off on the right note.

Jack's Bagels are SO good that I actually don't like bagels anymore unless they're from Jack's! They have bagels and cream cheese both in a large variety of flavors and styles. My favorite thing to get is the garlic bagel with garlic cream cheese IT IS TO DIE FOR! Also, their onion bagels are delicious. Even their light cream cheese is delicious! It doesn't taste any different than the normal cream cheese, to me. As for the service... I've only been to the Milpas Jack's Bagels and the one man that works there is always so friendly and polite but the two girls make very angry faces at me every time I'm there. I even tried tipping them generously at times to see if that would lighten them up and they seemed completely unappreciative... I can only think that they ought to be replaced. I definitely have a love and hate relationship with the Milpas Jack's but I could never stop eating those heavenly bagels! They are one of a kind.

Great food, even better coffee, friendly service

Jack's is a perfect place if you are in need of a quick breakfast to take on the road, but it's good also for grabbing a paper and eating in. I've done both, and always enjoy the food and the service. They have a number of different coffees to choose from, and their bagel selection is huge. I would definately recommend you try Jack's out, especially if you are a fan of bagels.
