Readers tell me that the previously unnamed restaurant, coming to 1305 State Street, the former long-time home of Downey’s, will be called Roost.

    I really hope this place is good. The public market has been a little underwhelming. I’d much rather have a warehouse with a Mony’s, a Miso Hungry, and a Tap Thai. Rori’s and the pizza place can stay I guess.

      When you take into account of the rent price at the public market, its not feasible for cheat eats to thrive at that location. $2.40 per dumpling made with store bought wrapper at the Empty Bowl is egregious, but understandable.

      I like Corazon Cocina. I recommend the Quesadilla De Mercado.
