I would be very excited for that. Save me so many trips to
    the Mesa.

After a bad experience at Red Pepper recently it seems that Panda Express has become the best Chinese place in the deep Goleta area for me(unless you can deal with parking for Courtyard Café) . Sad but true for me. You can give it a shot but go eat at Ming Dynasty and if your food is comparable stay on the mesa, unfortunately when I tried your food I was not overwhelmed as other places but I’ll definitely give it another go if you come out! Calle Real had two decent(and one not decent) Chinese places that went out of business a couple of years ago so there is a void there if looking there.

My wife and I would love to have better Chinese food in
Goleta and would become a regular. Every time we go through San
Francisco we stop at Burma Super Star at 309 Clement, and wish we
had as good Asian food nearby.

I’ve had decent food at Wings Restaurant – family owned, low prices, huge portions…I tend to steer clear of meat dishes at Chinese restaurants so can’t speak on that but the veggie dishes and soups I’ve had are great

Ming is decent if you order off the Chinese menu. The best Chinese food in Santa Barbara/Goleta is actually Mama Lu on Milpas. You will always see young Chinese students from UCSB there, so that is a positive sign. Once again, the trick is to order off the Chinese menu, and do not under any circumstances get the buffect at Mama Lu. Its horrid.
