Owner’s Tom & Vicki Dolan are opening Toma Restaurant & Bar, at 324 West Cabrillo Boulevard, the former site of Emilio’s Restaurant which closed last April. The food will focus on Italian Mediterranean inspired dishes using ingredients from local farms & fisherman. The menu will also bring back many of the local favorites from the former Emilio’s.
The wine list will be focused on Italian and local wines. Tom Dolan tells me “We have spent a great deal of time choosing ‘diamonds’ in the rough that will offer a great wine at a great value. We will also have a full bar featuring house specialty cocktails also using fresh local ingredients.”
The chef, Nat Ely, formerly of the Los Olivos Café is also a veteran of Emilio’s. Tom Dolan, former employee of Emilio’s for over twenty years was a popular face on the floor. Vicki Dolan has been working with the Fours Seasons Hotel & Resorts and has held positions as F&B Director, Resort Manager and Capital Project Manager. With over thirty five years in the hospitality industry, the owners look forward to bringing a service-driven atmosphere in a “refreshed” space to the Santa Barbara community.
