was this the sushi bar on that show monsters inside me ?they were serving live tiny crabs and some guy ate them and got a huge lung parasite problem guy lives in S.B… they blured the restaurant but not the white tile counters
Yikes, that sounds like a lovely show. This place was nice in that you could get multiple asian cuisines at the same time(and get a seat on a crowded Friday/Saturday night). The wife is Thai and husband Japanese. The quality was maybe not high enough I guess.
Heard this is staying with the same owner.. reopening as Hibachi??
yup.. according to the ABC license it is the same owners, now ‘Hibachi Bar’. curious what they’ll do with the space!
My understanding is that the building owner got a liquor licence, set up the bar in thier resturant and gave them 2 years to get out…
You’re half right. The building owner did get a Type 47 license and placed it at the property, but did not give them two years to get out. If they have a lease how is that possible? They weren’t making it and weren’t paying rent and bailed out over the weekend a couple of weeks ago.
Good idea for these guys to get lost. Owner still owns it and will do a Hawaiian theme restaurant bar… East had many abc problems. Hope not to many people got sick.
