Very sad… another mom & pop bites the dust! Very sorry, will miss this unique and wonderful store. Candy shoppes in general just can’t stay in business around here. What would Willy Wonka do?
Willy Wonka would put together a consortium of all the dentists in town to invest in the candy shops.
Win-Win for all! We get to satisfy our collective sweet tooth and our collective teeth stay cavity-free.
It was next door to Jenny Craig. I can’t decide if that was a blessing or a curse.
Too bad, they had good stuff. Their one in Ojai looks like it is staying open and has deliveries to SB they say.
There’s a vintage style candy shoppe I frequent in Carp. But it’s not Kingston’s.
Robataille’s – long time locals. This is one of the businesses that makes Carpinteria such a lovely spot. Nice folks and a great selection of ‘wrapped candy’ not to mention their own chocolates.
Yes great stuff there.
Robataille’s ( that’s the name ) is the place for candy in Carp. My kids never let me forget to stop in. Then Mama gets a cocktail at Sly’s and then we grab the best burger ever at Tony’s! I almost fell off my chair the first time I tried a Tony’s burger!
