Reader Steve tells me that Eureka Burger finally opens this Monday in Paseo Nuevo in the former home of Ruby’s Diner. I have been following this story since an anonymous tip helped The Restaurant Guy break the news on November 9th, 2011.

Really miss the old Restaurant Guy website format. Where are the restaurants listed by cuisine, geograpjic area? Reviews by customers? Only a blog now? Thinking it’s not much of a resource any more. Such a bummer.

Speaking of burgers…I just discovered that Umami Burger just opened a branch in Thousand Oaks and also has a kids menu. OMG. So stoked.
Had lunch there today. Very nice service, good beer selection, and they comped all food as part of their soft opening. Food was very good…surprisingly good for a new restaurant…
