Usually on weekends I wander around town, following up on tips received during the week, so I can have food news stories available on Tuesday to fans of “The Restaurant Guy” blog and Daily Sound newspaper column. Yesterday I did something completely different: for the first time in my life I was married. It was a small wedding at my childhood home in Montecito attended by a few relatives and long-time friends. On Sunday evening if you saw a car dragging aluminum cans with “Just Married” on the windshield on Cabrillo Blvd or anywhere on the entire length of State St, that was probably us. The Restaurant Gal is a sweet, kind, generous, patient and overall wonderful lady who has been my best friend for years. Tomorrow we leave California for our honeymoon at a distant, tropical destination which means you might not hear from me for a week. See you soon.
