As first predicted in this column on February 12, 2010, Fresh & Easy Market has opened at 336 N. Milpas St. Expect endless name confusion if Fresh Market opens at 222 N. Milpas St (currently Scolari’s).

Dropped by yesterday. I’ve never seen more plastic in one place, absolutely filled to the gills with packaged food. The self-checkout system is a joke. “Fresh”, umm, no. “Easy”, not really.
I would much rather have all the old occupants back especially Whitefoot Meat Market!!! “Progress” is not always a step foreward.
What about the Goleta location? Is it opening?
