YELLOW PAGES

In your 2012 Verizon yellow pages you may have noticed that some restaurants try harder than others to get your attention. Some restaurants list just a name and phone number. Others have 1/8 page, 1/4 page, 1/2 page and 3/4 page ads. A select few restaurants, however, have gone the extra mile to let their services be known by taking out a full-page advertisement. They are:

  • Boathouse
  • Brophy Bros.
  • Casa Blanca
  • Chuck’s of Hawaii
  • Holdren’s
  • Madam Lu
  • Opal
  • Palace Grill
  • Pascucci
  • Rose Cafe
  • Woody’s BBQ

Since most people now toss these things directly into the recycle, can’t imagine why anyone would waste advertising money on them.

I guess for those without internet (anybody know that percent?).

The last time I looked at the Yellow Pages for a restaurant was while staying at a Motel 6 and didn’t have a smartphone at the time. Still, not worth paying for a full-page ad though. But this was interesting to see that restaurants must feel it is still worthwhile.
