TACO BELL ON DE LA VINA CLOSES

This just in from owner Richard Payatt:

John,

With heavy heart, I must report that we closed our doors at the 2912 De La Vina Taco Bell for the last time, at 7:00PM this evening, May 1st.

But, we had a nice party for a lot of our old employees, old managers, and some of our fellow Santa Barbara business owners (many of whom have kept us up and running over the decades.)

It was a sad day, but a party made a fine ending to it all.

Our thanks to the tens of thousands of customers who entered our doors over the years… and especially to the wonderful employees who will remain with us at Taco Bell on State Street, and Taco Bell on the Mesa.

I think Chubbies Burgers is next door or I would think a Habit would be going there!

  3. Robert says:

The property is also for sale.

  4. Charlotte says:

Chubbie’s should be next on the chopping block!! Talk about rude service!! Is that an oxymoron? I certainly felt like a moron the two times I ate there!

Will this be a relief or a challenge, Richard? Congrats or commiserations.
