RUMOR MACHINE

Each year as winter approaches I can feel it in my bones. I broke several bones in college where I played football and each November my body makes sure to remind me. The Rumor Machine has a similar problem from accidentally being dropped, bumped and kicked over the years. Last night it suddenly made a screeching noise, let out a puff of smoke and then ejected a piece of paper halfway across the room that read “Part of the building at 210 W. Carrillo St., the former home of Carrows, will become a Starbucks.” As always, this rumor might be completely false or a brilliant forecast of future events. Your call.

Starbucks #13 in the guide here you come….one actually closed though this year in the Barnes and Nobles so it IS possible! Though there is one more he could add too(a small one in the Santa Ynez Valley Marriott in Buellton). Been to 10 of the 12 guide ones, best one I’ve been to so far is the Five Points one(pretty much on server attitude), Camino Real good too, the worst one is probably State & Cota. Yet to try State and De La Guerra and State & Victoria, its just not up there on my tdo list for some reason, pretty much been to one been to all but the ambience and staff do make differences, but if that is the place you go to for for coffee etc then you really need to branch out using this guide where you will find much better stuff.
