HobNob Tavern at 21 W. Victoria St has closed their doors. The restaurant opened in March 2010.
Congratulations to them for making it 16 days past this blog’s original post suggesting they were closing.
Didn’t realize their “old wiring” was so severe. Isn’t this like the third restaurant rumoured to be closed, angrily insist they’re just fine, then close two weeks later?
Never want to sound spiteful, but they pretty much deserved it. The owners cut corners and never fulfilled the potential of that location. Customer service matters….
Too bad the Blue Shark Bistro would never come back…
I agree! I loved Blue Shark Bistro! My husband proposed to me there… I wish we could go back and sit at the same table….
What is up with that location? Nothing sticks!
Because wanna-be restaurateurs continually try and cram an unsustainable concept into that space.
10k rent. A strip joint perhaps.
I think the concept was fine, I honestly really liked Hob Nob. Thought the food was good, drinks were decently priced etc., my only real complaint about the place was the service. From what I hear from other people, sounds like they also just had ownership/management issues.
Too bad, I dug that place.
