CAFE ZOMA BAKERY OPENS

This just in from Cafe Zoma at 7127 Hollister Ave in Goleta:

Hi John,

I’m happy to announce that the bakery at Cafe Zoma Goleta is finally up and running. Our first batch of baked goods hit the shelves today at all three shops (Zoma Goleta, Zoma on State St., and Coffee Cat). We’re still perfecting a few recipes, but I think we’ve got some pretty fabulous stuff coming out of the oven. Our croissants still come from Arlington Bakery, and our bagels from Ethnic Breads, but we’re making our own: muffins, scones, cookies, brownies, and sweet breads (banana, zucchini, etc.- not meat!).

Many Thanks,
Matthew Carter

I wish they served real sweetbreads. Yum.

I’ve always been a huge fan of Coffee Cat and I am so happy there is now the equivalent in Goleta. I’ve stopped by a few times since it’s opening and the coffee has always been great. I just wish the croissants were not kept in the fridge section since it hardens them up and they lose their nice flakyness as at the Coffee Cat. Also love the new peanut butter and chocolate ganache bars that were at Coffee Cat last week!
