LET’S HAVE A TOAST FOR BRENDAN’S

Brendan’s Irish Pub & Restaurant opened last week at 1755 E. Daily Dr in Camarillo. I first mentioned the pending arrival of Brendan’s in this column on September 8th. Sources tell me that the eatery is now actively looking for suitable spot in Santa Barbara and Goleta and is currently in discussions with a possible location downtown.

Brendan’s was founded by Brendan Searles, formerly a partner at Dargan’s downtown, which means he has familiarity and experience with the Santa Barbara market. For more information about the restaurant visit brendans.com.

Formerly a partner at Dargan’s, yet is now looking at a location downtown. Near Dargan’s I assume. Hmmm. How many Irish pubs can downtown SB handle? I’m thinking one. How about IV, “new guy”? Somewhere else in Goleta? Stick to Camarillo???

Too many Irish pubs in town already. Besides, He wont be able to afford the sexual harrassment lawsuits.
