This is an update to Friday’s blog. Henrietta Forystek, owner of Max’s Restaurant at 3514 State St., tells me that her eatery has been renamed “Max’s Cucina” and will start serving Italian cuisine Tue-Sat 5pm-10pm. Amadeo Greco is Executive Chef and General Manager, and Onsi Mahrous will be Chef and Cook. Previously Max’s offered California cuisine in the evenings. Forystek tells me that they will continue serving the same California cuisine for breakfast and lunch that they have been offering to customers for the last 26 years. She hopes to add several Italian dishes to the lunch menu in the near future.
