THESE ARE THE WINNERS of the
SantaBarbara.com Restaurant Guide online poll that started during
Thanksgiving 2008 and ended on New Years Eve. Thousands of locals
participated in the Santa Barbara Survey(tm) and the results will be
displayed online at SantaBarbara.com throughout 2009. Survey participants
considered 92 different food & drink categories and chose 189 winners and
finalists. The results show that many familiar faces have continued their successful ways. Ca' Dario has won Best Overall Restaurant for the second year in a row. Last year's "Best Of" Montecito, Goleta and Carpinteria restaurants won again in 2009. A few new eateries that opened in 2008 have made a trip to the winners circle. Brummis, that opened just last July, has taken top honors as Santa Barbara's favorite German restaurant. Other members of the 2008 Newbie Club including Backyard Bowls, The Cheese Shop, Renaud's, and Sly's are all finalists.
