Beach Grill at Padaro

The Beach Grill is in a very unique setting - it has nearly half an acre of grass, chairs & tables for you to enjoy the sun while you eat. I have spent all afternoon at times enjoying the weather after lunch.

For kids, there is huge sandbox full of toys. This is a VERY kid-friendly restaurant with plenty of room to run around. The actual beach and grill are divided by train tracks, so you can't walk directly to the sand from your table. It is fun to watch the train speed by a few feet from your table (see the video below). Kids love it!

The menu is extensive and delicious with a variety of meat, poultry and vegetarian choices. My favorite is the Beach Burger though sometimes I go for the turkey sandwich.

Directions

The Beach Grill at Padaro is located off of Highway 101, between Summerland and Carpinteria. Coming from either direction, take the Santa Claus Lane/Padaro Lane Exit.

If your heading northbound off of 101, turn left at the stop sign, then left again onto Santa Claus Lane. Drive approximately a half mile to find the Beach Grill on your right.

If you are heading southbound off of 101, go straight through the stop sign after taking the Santa Claus Lane/Padaro. Drive approximately a half mile to find the Beach Grill on your right.

Santa Claus Lane was originally the Coast Highway 1, the original highway along California's coast.
