Living and playing in Santa Barbara, it's easy to forget that we live in the midst of some of the richest farmland anywhere - that is until you go to one of our many farmers markets.  The diversity and abundance of vegetables, nuts, fruits, honey, and flowers is mind boggling - and taste tempting.  We always find new vegetables that need to be tried or a great jalapeno pistachio that just has to come home with us.  And of course there's the flowers just begging to find a home on our kitchen table!

The Tuesday night Farmers Market in downtown Santa Barbara is always extra special because of the street performers that create a festive atmosphere.  Be sure to check out our Picture Gallery taken on a warm summer evening at the Market.

Of course, each of the local communities have their own farmers market that are wonderfully colored by the character and charm of each town.
