Maria's Bakery, as it's officially known, makes some of the best rolls in town.  They're made fresh and without preservatives, so you need to eat them right up, but that's not usually a problem. 

Whenever we're making garlic bread, we make a special trip to Maria's.  There's something about the way her rolls toast up (with a little butter, garlic powder and mozzarella on top) that makes it worth the trip.   The pastries are excellent, as well. 

Northbound: Take the Casitas Pass exit.  Turn left at the top of the ramp and drive until the road ends.  Turn right onto Carpinteria Avenue.  Drive until you reach the stop light on Linden Avenue and go straight.  Drive for two more blocks and the bakery is on your right.

Southbound.  Take the Linden Street exit.  At the bottom of the ramp turn right.  The bakery is two blocks down on your right.
