The Carpinteria library is a satellite branch of the Santa Barbara system and is well used by residents.

There is a good selection of books locally, computers, videos and all of the benefits of being part of the Santa Barbara system.  It is usually possible to get a book from Santa Barbara's much larger selection - a very nice perk.

The library itself is a wonderful adobe with a front porch and plenty of nooks for reading and contemplating your current book.  The only drawback is parking isn't always easy to find, so make sure to check the side streets.

Directions:  Take the 101 to Casitas Pass.  At the top of the ramp turn away from the mountains. When the road ends, turn right at the stop lights.  The library will be two blocks up on your left.  There is on street parking nearby.
