"Jimmy's Chinatown" Art Show
NOW THROUGH MAY 31st!
An exhibition of paintings done by eight local artists using the landmark Chinese restaurant Jimmy’s Oriental Gardens (1947-2006) as the subject. The lounge is now called, the Pickle Room, and owners Bob & Clay Lovejoy are honoring the longtime legacy of Jimmy & Tommy Chung and their families as well as the neighborhood, which was once a bustling Chinatown. Jan 31 is the Chinese New Year ~ it’s now, 4712, Year of the Horse. Stop in, see the show, have a cocktail and enjoy the ambiance of one of Santa Barbara’s most classic bars now open again under new management and looking much like it did – only better – after the restoration.
Artists included in the show: Gary Chafe, Augie Ortiz, John Klippenstein, Larry Iwerks, Judith Geiger, Cyndi Burt, Chris Potter and David Diamant
Plus Photographer Steve Sherrill
