Fork in trail with no signs,
with both paths heavily traveled. One crosses creek, other goes straight.
Both trails merge again a hundred yards ahead.

trail and Jesusita trail. Stay on Jesusita trail.

The trail reaches a road here. The road goes three different directions. Go
up the middle road.

power lines and stay on dirt utility road.
Before you reach the last
power pole near the top of Inspiration Point, exit utility road and turn
right towards the ocean on trail that backtracks a few yards.

top of
Inspiration Point. Enjoy the view!
Directions to Trail Head
From the 101 freeway exit Las Positas Rd
near downtown Santa Barbara. Turn toward the mountains. Drive on Las Positas
Rd past State Street at which point it becomes San Roque Rd. Continue up San
Roque Rd and park at the William B. Cater
Filtration Plant. The filtration plant is 1.94 miles from the freeway.
The
beginning of the Jesusita Trail is not at the end of San Roque Rd.
The parking area a good half mile before the
end of San Roque Rd. You have gone too far up San Roque Rd if you see a
reservoir on you right or if you have
reached
Jesusita Ln.
There are no road signs on San Roque Rd to indicate that you have
reached Jesusita Trail. The Jesusita trail head
and sign are to the left of the parking area (as you face the mountains).
