Overview:
Don't
let the status of this wonderful course fool you. Just
because the city of Santa Barbara owns it, that doesn't mean
"municipal" should be used in association with it.
We prefer 'classic.' The grounds offer great views of the
mountains.
It
ranks among the top in the nation for action with more
than 77,000 rounds played here each year. The low cost
and convenient location afford easy access - even if you just
want a quick nine.
Specifics:
This par
70, 18-hole course is 6,014 yards. It was built in 1958
and designed by Lawrence Hughes
Amenities:
The
picturesque facility also boasts a practice putting green and
driving range with ocean views, golf shop, snack shop, an
abundance of golf carts, and a modern clubhouse with banquet
facilities. Organized playing opportunities for all ages and
levels include the Santa Barbara Women's Club, The Tuesday
Swingers, The Santa Barbara Men's Club, The Paisanos, and the
Hits and Misses. For youth ages 7-17, the Russ Morrison Junior
Golf Club fosters golf fundamentals and skill-building for
advancement to junior tournament level. Tournaments, club

towards the mountains. When you have actually passed the
course on your left, you will come to McCaw Avenue, which is a
small street on the left hand side of the road. It is very
easy to miss. If you reach State Street you have gone too
far. Turn left onto McCaw and drive to the entrance of the
