The Real Deal, 10/10/2009

What a treat. Great prices, generous portions, fresh, well-prepared simple sushi and rolls, plus a great ambience! The harbor. Now, make sure you grab a level table....or you will be chasing your lunch across the sidewalk. But the food is a great value, the portions generous. Nice group running things. Perhaps not an ideal dinner date spot, it is the best lunch deal in town. Green mussels are nice, and their special rolls have nice touches.

Top Notch Sushi at Affordable Price, 7/13/2009

I've been to expensive sushi bars in Indianapolis and Chicago as well as many others but Sushi Go-Go beats them all. Simple, tasty rolls and incredibly fast service. Great outside atmosphere right by the harbor. Small outside area but a wonderful atmosphere. Try the Crunch roll or the Firecracker. Washington roll is awesome too! Last time was my 3rd visit here and I just moved to Pasadena but only come here to eat sushi!

We've been walking by this place for years, & just decided to try it out last week. It's Good! So good, that we have eaten here twice in one week. Each time we ordered the Weekend Special which is nice because you get a variety of food at only $8.50 per person. The special comes with a side salad, veggie tempora, a California Roll, Spicy Tuna Roll, & Chicken Teriyaki.

I have gone here sooo many times I cannot even count and it is always so fresh and so good!!I try to order a different roll each time and I am always so impressed with everything I have tried! I love sitting outside on a sunny day and having sushi and a glass of wine while looking out on the harbor! The best! Keep it up!:)

they used to own the 'Crazy Sushi' restaurant from Alhambra
Reviewer: Susan from Torrance, CA
I used to go to Crazy Sushi in Alhambra from Brea driving about 40 minutes one way to enjoy their crazy and very unique fusion flavor. Then, I moved to Torrance and drove about an hour one way to Crazy Sushi..^^ Then, they sold it and moved to SB harbor. Honestly at first, I worried that they might've shortened their flair due to minimizing the kitchen from full restaurant to quickie..^^ But, when i visited them at GoGo Sushi, though the menu is not the same to really get their best, the quality and taste hadn't changed. I've gone to various sushi places all over Cali, I haven't found any like their quality and taste, especially with such deal now..^^ I had few friends who were very not taking chance type with different and new things and only ate either chinese or american food. But after a little forcefull try of their sushi, they found a new exciting and fun thing in their lives, eating all kinds of sushi and dring sake.. this made me enjoy my friends more often. all the thanks to the time when they had Crazy sushi in Alhambra. You could say that I made a few people fans of their cooking..^^ We go up to SB few times a year to enjoy their sushi..^^ My kids love them too..

Loved it!

My first time there. The food was awesome and so were the prices. The service was great too. They gave me free soup while I wanted for them to make my rolls. Will definitely go back the next time I'm in S.B.

Hidden but worth finding
Reviewer: Jackie from Santa Barbara, CA
I love sushi and have eaten at more than half the sushi restaurants in Santa Barbara. I was on break at SBCC and walked around the harbor to kill time, that's when I stumbled upon this hidden treat. The food is BETTER than a lot of expensive restaurants and a lot cheaper. The owners are friendly and my food came pretty fast. I now eat here at least once a week and take my friends along for the experience. I would recommend this place to anyone who enjoys great sushi at a discount price.

Awesome
Reviewer: Shawn from Santa Barbara
This place is so great. In my opinion it's the best lunch sushi place in town. The rolls are all time (firecracker and crunch are fav) and the appetizers and salads are insane too. Plus, the owners are the nicest people ever. I could eat here every day.

Best view with excellent sushi
Reviewer: Sean Robertson from Santa Barbara
Outdoor next to the boats that bring in the fish. Best views in town. Quick, quality lunch stop on a work day. Service is very polite and, again, quick. I eat there at least 3 times a week. The lunch special of teriyaki chicken, california roll and salad is perfect during the work week. Otherwise, it's the Jessica roll or Spicey Tuna Salad. Good for you and any diet. But, the view is second to none.

very nice

I have been there for a few years. The sushi chef is Korean but the sushi is very good. The chef, his wife? the nice Korean lady and mexican ladies are very nice! I really like there.

A tucked away treat...
Reviewer: Saltwaterlove from santa barbara
This has always been one of my favorite sushi spots in town. If you're looking for high prices, showmanship, and kiche... well this is not the place. If, however, you are looking for some tasty sushi in a great setting, with generous portions and very reasonable prices... you'll like this spot. As a life-long local I find myself coming back for the Philadelphia roll... presented with the Salmon on the outside, and the Harbor environment. Sure there are tourists during summer and on weekends, but the fish is exceptionally fresh, and you know it's solid if the fishermen eat there...
