What's up?, 8/27/2010

So this is my 3rd time at 3 Pickles. I was so impressed with my first visit (see review below) I've been back. The 2nd visit I ordered the same sandwich as the first visit - or so I thought. The meat was the same, but it was on sourdough with lettuce and sliced tomatoes. The first time it was on a roll with chopped tomatoes and onions and pickles and oregano (no lettuce). This 2nd sandwich I'd call more "deli" and less Italian style, which is what the first sandwich was. It was good, but markedly different from the first. This 3rd time I ordered a "sub our way" with turkey, and said "everything but no mayo". Well, I got it exactly as expected - but "no mustard" not no mayo. I hope they read my reviews. Going back and not getting what I expect or what I order makes me hesitant to return.

Yummy "Italian style" sub, 7/28/2010

First time customer today. I got a Canon Capicolla Club. White roll, nicely just warmed with a little toast, not too bready or crunchy. Turkey and ham and swiss with “crispy capicolla” that I’m not sure I’ve ever had before but gave a different texture that I enjoyed. Diced onions, tomatoes, and pickles was tasty. Mayo and mustard and a sprinkle of oregano. Definitely “Italian style” sub, I’d call it. Half was perfect for lunch today, $8 for the sammich, a little more expensive than Sam's To Go (on Fairview, I'm a regular there) but more meat. Yes they have one of those big plastic tubs with whole pickles at the counter. Service was prompt and friendly, place was clean, outside patio tables looked nice. I look forward to trying more of their sandwiches and maybe I'll brave one of those huge pickles.

I Guess I Missed Something, 4/18/2010

Ate here for the first time last week. I don't understand the ravings. The food is ordinary, the wait staff apathetic, and the service poor at best. We had two sandwiches with drinks and the total was over $22. My sandwich was incorrectly prepared. i expected it on a roll, but it came on toasted bread.
I just don't see the appeal of the place. Maybe I'll try ordering something else and see how they do a second time.

I work right around the corner from Three Pickles and I am allergic to gluten so I am not able to eat the sandwhiches :( But I am NOW HOOOKED ON THE CLUB SALAD. One of the best salads Ivd ever had! Make sure to get it with the petrinis dressing tho is the ranch is not a homemade one there and the petrinis is AWESOME!! So happy they are now walking distance on my lunch! Also it is really nice to see the owners behind the counter! Keep up the great work!

The sandwiches taste soooo good. I eat there once a week and if I had the funds I'd eat there 3 or 4 times a week! The service is amazing there. It can't get any better!

I got plenty of good service from their tasty meat. What a selection of meat from the guys behind the counter. I got stuffed with their meat and will definitely be going back for more of their 10 inch delights.

I had the Gaucho and it was great. Friendly service and even free fountain drinks, too. However, I had ordered a grilled cheese to go for a friend and when she opened it it wasn't grilled. Did they forget?

Owner there, really nice, Food really Good, 11/4/2009

Tried the Italian sandwich(pickle's style)and it was really good(reminded me of eating a garnished hotdog!). Tuna sandwich was really good too. Owner taking orders and was really nice. A no brainer to try this place esp with the 2 for 1 discount card deal if you've got one. Seating inside and out, all you can drink soft drinks(they have Orange Bang too!). Only thing strange is no gloves for sandwich makers but at least they are not handling the money. In more of a business park(facing Fairview across from Tracor Aviation), open until 3pm.

Good Times, 11/3/2009

at the newest sandwich place in Goleta. Located by the airport (or as I like to call it, less than one song from work) is Three Pickles. Had lunch there today and went with the Italian combo. The sandwich was great and they put some fantastic mixture of diced pickles, onions, and tomatoes on top of it. Also, the all you can eat Pickle Bar was a welcome addition. I would give this a thumbs up and will be back for more. Also, the discount card gave me a buy one get one free option.

First time...def won't be the last!!, 10/29/2009

I've tried the sandwiches at many other deli's here in town and this rates right up there at the top. The gentleman at the counter was very friendly. The sandwiches were delicious with great tasting and fresh ingredients that blended perfectly together. They did not skimp on the meat, it was piled high and mighty. When you want a great sandwich, think of this place first. You will not be disappointed!

After waiting for what seemed like forever I stumbled on the soft opening a scant 30 minutes after the doors were opened for the first time. I had the Gaucho and I was sold! A better steak sandwich you'll be hard pressed to find in this town. It's a keeper and my newest favorite lunch spot. Friendly staff, great food, and a place to sit and eat in the sun. BEAT THAT, I DARE YA.

I love your sandwiches, why can't you be opened on weekends or after I get off work? I want to eat your sandwiches everyday, but you are too far for me to go during my lunch break!

Good sandwich & salad shop, 10/21/2009

We missed the soft opening on 10/16/09; but the wife & I had lunch there on 10/19/2009. She got a hot sandwich & I got a cold cut sandwich. The quality & taste of both were very good. My only "complaint" is that 2 sandwiches with 2 soft drinks (no chips) cost us $21.
