No grilled chicken and Cash only policy??, 11/4/2009
Reviewer: Katelyn Thompson from Santa Barbara, CA
Any establishment that is going to impose a cash only policy is shady in my book. That culminated with the fact that they are falsely advertising their grilled chicken to the point of picture posters in there venue just makes matters worse for them. Go to KFC in Goleta, where they take all forms of payment and also provide what they adertise. It's worth the drive.

Grilled Chicken - Denied Again, 10/26/2009

This is the second time my friend and I have tried to go there for the grilled chicken. Prior to this they said they didn't have any at the Milpas location. Today we called ahead and they said they had it. I guess we should have asked if it was cooked, because we got there just before the High School lunch rush (Tip for people in a hurry: SBHS Students descend on Milpas restaurants between 12 and 1) and they said it wouldn't be ready for another fifteen minutes. Good food, but not really sure I want to go back to that location any time soon.

This has been the second time I went to try the grilled chicken, same answer "We are out", did you have any in the first place? Then I didn't like that they were talking about me in Spanish, oh yah I speak Spanish. I did order but the guy who gave me the order was trying to test my Spanish. Please.

Great Food, 2/25/2009

The chicken came out really nice and crispy. A little language barrier but not too bad. Small place w not a lot of seating, I would recommend getting it to go and/or probably just going for lunch due to transient issues.

They sell chicken, 12/7/2008

Visited this location at 12:20 on a tuesday afternoon. The counter person attempted to tell me that they had run out of chicken(?). I say attempted because someone behind me had to interpret this persons dialect. The employees looked like deer in the headlights. Can you imagine running out of chicken?

Most Frustrating Restaurant Experience, 12/6/2008
Reviewer: Jaimee from Santa Barbara, CA
I went into the KFC and tried to order the box meal, but the cashier did not understand me until the third time I said it and I pointed at the picture of it. There wasn't any sort of language barrier, both of us were fluently speaking English, she just did not understand me. I asked for popcorn chicken in the boxes, and then an additional snacker on the side. After I got my order there was no snacker, and I had to tell her that I had payed for one three times before she looked at my receipt. After I got home and opened my meal, not only had they given me only two pieces of chicken (instead of 3) but the drumstick's bone was smashed up as well, so that if I had eaten it my mouth would have gotten cut up. On the positive side--the food tasted good, and the cashier did let me know that the popcorn chicken did cot extra (other KFCs haven't told me before).

Business hours

Everything was great as usual but the sign on the Milpas KFC store says that it opens at 10:30 AM on Saturdays and not 10:00 AM like the website says. A large group of us had to wait in the parking lot for 30 minutes. Had the website had the correct opening time this would have been avoided. Aside from that the food and service was great.
